Story Threads

A yellow dress bought with one’s first salary earnings.

The special suit worn during a momentous move to the big city.

Delicate driving gloves gifted to a driver embarking on a new found independence.

Story Threads is an intergenerational storytelling project and photo exhibit drawing upon and inspired by stories from the senior community. This project will explore the narrative forming around such unforgettable garments, while placing it into a wider historical context that will strive to illuminate the culture and social forces that defined each individuals life.
